Erie, Pennsylvania showed up today!!!!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending the morning with the good people of Child Development Centers, Inc., and they came ready to learn, reflect, collaborate, and do the work!

They gathered in their groups, mapped the villages surrounding the children and families they serve, exchanged ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and leaned fully into the experience.

The conversations were rich, the laughter was plentiful, and the commitment in that room was undeniable.

And my heart soared as I watched their pens move as they wrote their personal commitments to the children they serve.

They understood “Grown Folk” conversations…

The honest, courageous, and necessary conversations adults have with one another to ensure that our decisions, practices, and relationships remain mission-aligned in service to children and families.

Because simply having access to a child does not make us a Top-Notch Village™.

A Top-Notch Village™ is created when the adults surrounding children and families choose to communicate, collaborate, and work together with intention.

Today, the team at Child Development Centers, Inc. made that choice—and watching them put their commitments on paper was a beautiful reminder of why I do this work.

Every child deserves a Top-Notch Village™ as they grown from an Acorn to a Mighty Mighty Oak Tree. BOOM!!!!❤️🙌🏾🌰🌱🌳☀️
