The Sweet Sound of Victory: Celebrating SDYM's Amazing Milestone!

LOOK!!!! I am so PROUD I could SCREAM (again)!!!!!

After school, SDYM was preparing to make a “How it’s going” art video for his new Instagram account.

And, he told me he was going to use the AI voiceover function for the video.

I suggested that he use his own voice.

He wasn’t convinced.

I assured him that he had a beautiful speaking voice and noted the vast improvement in his speech over recent years.

He still wasn’t convinced.

Well, he went in his room and started to make the video and I guess something just clicked and he decided to use his own voice.

I didn’t see or hear the video until he was done.

But, when I heard My Baby’s voice so clear and so confident, I lost it!

In my mind, I can still hear his first self generated statement to me, at near five years old, “Bye, Mommy.”

Until today, those were the sweetest words I’d ever heard.

Now, I have a bunch of words that I get to hear over and over and over again.

Each word that comes from that child’s mouth is like music to my ears, because there was a time when I didn’t know if My Child would ever speak to me.

I started this post by saying I’m so proud I could scream.

But, to be accurate, I had to write the word “again”.

‘Cause y’all KNOW I’ve already screamed and praise danced through this WHOLE house, when I first saw SDYM’s video and heard his sweet voice!

I give God ALL the glory and ALL the praise!!!! He makes the seemingly impossible possible EVERYDAY!!! BOOM!!!! #ButForGod #LIMITLESS
