Watching Inside Out again this morning... I look over and SDK's eyes are closed and he is smiling...

Me: Sweet Pea, what are you thinking about? SDK: The first time ilayanionu. Me: Huh? SDK: The first time ilayanionu. Me: I sorry, Sweat Pea. I don't understand. Can you say it slower and more clearly? SDK: The. First. Time. I. Lay. An. Eye. On. You. Me: Oh... The first time you laid an eye on me!! SDK: Yes. The first time I laid an eye on you. You were so pretty and it made me so happy. ME: Oh, Ricky II! You are the sweetest kid in the world. I love you so much! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍

I so appreciate the compliment but I am Happy Dancing because My Baby used an idiom!!!!!!! Idioms are often missed by children on the autism spectrum because they process information so literally.
