In addition to being a teacher and mother, KinderJam’s founder, El Brown, is a proud military spouse. Prior to becoming a military spouse and mom, she was an elementary school teacher who taught second grade on military installations in Yokosuka, Japan and Seoul, South Korea. Brown has spent the last 10 years of her life as a teacher to military children, a wife to a service member and finally, a mother to a military child. During this 10 year period Brown learned about, then lived the life of a military spouse. Many women who are military spouses are professionally trained but have chosen to step away from their careers to become the stable force in their families. Additionally, having a career is extremely difficult when your family moves every two to three years...and when duty calls, sometimes even sooner! KinderJam targets and recruits military spouses as instructors and business owners. In addition to providing this unique population of women the opportunity to own their own business, KinderJam has the opportunity to expand to communities all over the nation and in overseas locations very quickly. 

KinderJam is a beneficial enrichment and is needed in the community of military young children because in a KinderJam class, a family, support system, and community are built. When military families move, the service member has a job to which to report; the spouse has clubs and organizations designed specifically to ease the stress of transition; the school age child has a school to report to filled with hundreds of potential friends. However, the toddler and preschool age child has no organization or group of people waiting to greet them at their new home. KinderJam offers a sense of stability to the youngest member of this unique family. Your little one may be in a hotel in a new city, state or country. His toys may be packed in boxes. Everything in his little world may be different and new, but the KinderJam Family will be expecting him and waiting to greet your little one with open arms and a BIG WHOO-HOOO!!!
